Successful Tehreek-e-Sooba Hazara rally in Karachi
KARACHI: Baba Haider Zaman, leader of Tehreek Hazara (TH), addressing a big rally in Karachi on Sunday announced that TH being a registered party would contest general elections, Geo News reported.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Saturday pledged full support to today’s public meeting and called upon the people of all ages including the youth, women and elderly to attend the rally held near Mazar-e-Quaid.
Baba Zaman said the Prime Minister’s statement for formation of a Siraiki province reflects that only Siraikis are dear to him and not Pakistan. “If you are a Prime Minister of only Siraikis and members of your own family, you have no right to remain on this position,” he added.

“Those who raise a question as to why we were going along with MQM, I tell them that they have done what actually was a duty of those who were closer to us,” he said, adding any party that lends its support to the cause of Hazara province, ‘we would be grateful to it’.
Baba Haider Zaman thanked MQM Chief Altaf Hussain for all his encouragement and backing, saying MQM had proved that it was a federal party.
He said: “Baba is not a follower, he is a leader who only knows how to lead or work on equal basis.”
Calling Karachi a city of lights and an economic hub, Baba Zaman urged the people of Hazara living in the metropolis to maintain its peace and never to disturb it.
“We demand through this huge gathering the rights of the deprived people. If you want Pakistan’s survival, meet the demands of people to form new provinces wherever they want,” he said.
Appreciating the people for turning up in big number, Baba Zaman said: “You have proved that you are true Hazarians”.
He called upon the rulers to engage their intelligence agencies to find out what the deprived people were demanding.

He deplored that many Hazarians were killed and maimed but not even a single FIR was lodged despite demands for it over the past tow years. “I also have a complaint to make against the Judiciary which takes suo motto action on other issues but turned a blind eye to the Hazarians plight.”
Refering to the people of Hazara, he said he had made a forum for them. “I don’t know how long I would live but I am confident you would keep holding on to this forum strongly (even after I am gone),” he asserted.
